How to Read the Bible Workshop
Join us after church in the Fireside Room for a 4 week Big Picture introduction to the Bible. We'll explore the big message, timeline, how the books fit in and how to connect with God in modern times through these ancient words.

About the Event
Ever wish you could get a primer on the Bible? This is your invitation to join us for a 4 week Big Picture introduction to the Bible: the best selling book of all time.
Who is it for? Anyone who wants a solid introduction: whether you're brand new to the bible or wanting a biger picture view so you can find your place in the story.
What do you need for it? Bringing a bible would be helpful! No prior knowledge needed… but bring some curiosity. And snacks if you might need them
What will we do? With videos, worksheets, teaching and discussion, we'll explore how to connect with God in modern times through these ancient words.
Week One: The Big Picture - mapping the biggest themes of the Bible from page 1 to the end
Week Two: Timelines and Maps: When and Where does everything go?
Week Three: The Bible as Literature. 66 books with one big message: stories, poems, prophecies and what to make of wheels with eyes, bedazzled streets and other weird imagery.
Week Four: A Living Book: a workshop on reading and applying a passage for yourself.
Each week will include optional bonus reading and resources for a deeper dive. Each workshop stands alone but it's highly recommended to plan for all four to get the most of out of it!
