Music and Worship

Psalm 147 says, "Praise the Lord. How good it is to sing praise to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise Him!" He has called us to not only worship Him in song but in every action of our life. Lifting our voices is one way in which we can offer our praise to God.

Ministry Opportunities

Adult Worship Choir

Ministry Spotlight: The choir adds life and energy to the worship services as people enter and see others celebrating God together. We meet Thursdays from 7-8:30 pm for practice and sing in both morning services twice a month, from September through May. Contact Jim if you would like more information.

Orchestra

The orchestra is a tremendous asset to the worship ministry at FBC. If you're an instrumentalist and long to use your abilities to worship God, the orchestra is perfect for you to put your gifts and talents to work. We have a 1 to 2 hour rehearsal once a month and play in both morning services twice a month. Contact Jim if you would like more information.

Kids Praise Choir and Junior Kids Praise Choir

Kids Praise Choir is for children in 2nd-6th grades and Junior Kids Praise Choir is for children in Pre-K, K, or 1st grade. The kids choir is a great place to bring friends and introduce others to FBC for the first time. We also put on a spring musical and Christmas musical each year.

Beginning September 28 | Practice is every Sunday from 11:30 am- 1 pm (lunch provided). Contact Jim if you would like more information.

Worship Band and Singers

The worship band and singers are on the front line each week leading us in song and praise during our services. Practice is 1-2 hours each week, but how often you participate is flexible with your schedule. Contact Jim if you would like more information.

Sound, PowerPoint, Lighting & Technical

Help out behind the scenes by running sound, lights, or PowerPoint for all the services. You can volunteer each week or as needed. Contact Jim if you would like more information.

CD Ministry

Each week, the sermon is recorded and made available on CD and online. We need a volunteer to edit and duplicate the CDs each week and post the audio to our web site. You can do this from home or come into the FBC worship office. Contact Jim if you would like more information.
