Glen Snyder | Senior Pastor

Glen has been the senior pastor at First Baptist Church in Davis since February 1992. Before coming to Davis, Glen pastored in both Florida and Pennsylvania and he has taught Homiletics and Bible Exposition at Miami Christian College. He is currently part-time adjunct faculty in Old Testament Studies at Western Seminary in Sacramento. He earned his Master of Divinity and his Doctor of Ministry at Western Seminary in Portland, and his Bachelor of Arts at Barry University in Miami.

Scott Wieking | Adult & Family Pastor

Scott has been a member of the First Baptist Church pastoral staff since 1982, first serving in college ministry, then as FBC’s youth pastor, and more recently as our pastor to adults and families. Scott earned his Master's Degree at Western Seminary in 1990 and his Bachelor of Science at the University of California, Davis. Scott’s favorite pasttimes include swimming with Davis Aquatic Masters (DAM), coaching AYSO soccer, and hanging out with his wife Kim and three daughters.

Joe Biggs | Youth Pastor

Joe came to UC Davis in 1989 as a freshman and has been attending FBC ever since. He, along with his wife Jenni, also a UC Davis graduate, worked with the youth ministry as full time staff or volunteers from 1991-2001. Now Joe is extremely excited to be heading up FBC's youth ministry to junior high and high school students in the Davis region. Joe's passion is to see students choose their faith for themselves so they will be ready and equipped to move on from high school into the "big world out there." Joe and Jenni also have two children who love to hang out with the "big kids!"

Meg Harper | Director of Connecting Ministries

Meg has attended FBC since she moved to Davis in 1993. She is married to Rick with three children; Dylan, Alexandra and Nate. For the past several years she has volunteered as the Women's Ministries and Women of Worth Bible Study coordinator. She is very excited about her position in Adult Ministries and for the opportunity to help people grow in their relationship with God and others.

Dan Seitz | College and Missions Pastor

Before arriving at FBC in March 2008, Dan was a UCD student, a law student, a Christian camp director, an associate pastor in the Silicon Valley, and a full-time seminarian at Fuller. He loves ministering to college students in concert with Kevin, Dave, and Laeya, and challenging them to identify as an agent of the King. He also loves the task of supporting and encouraging FBC's distinguished assortment of missionaries, in partnership with a fantastic missions team. In his free time, Dan loves reading books, newspapers, and magazines, having meaningful conversations with college students, listening to baseball games on the radio, cheering for the Aggies and the Ducks (he’s a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law), and drinking Peet’s coffee. Dan is married to the inestimable Allison, and they have a son, Joshua.

Kristi Gladding | Director of Children's Ministries

Kristi joined the ministry staff at FBC in 2006 and has attended FBC since 2000. She loves the kids of FBC as well as the three she raises at home with her husband, Sanford. A UCD graduate, she and Sanford also enjoy spending time with current and recently graduated UCD students and consider themselves some of the Aggies' biggest fans. Kristi loves to spend time reading, having students over for dinner, volunteering at her kids' school and drinking the finest coffee available from Peet's.

Kevin Kaub | Associate Campus Director

Entering UC Davis as an undergraduate, Kevin Kaub came from the Deep South, East Coast, and West Coast - that is, Louisiana, Boston, and Santa Cruz. After an amazing 5 years of academic study and personal growth, he graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering and found himself as one of the College Life interns for the next 15 months.

Needing a rest from full-time ministry and his work as a Designer/Web Developer/Renaissance Man for UC Davis, he took an informal sabbatical and entered Fuller Theological Seminary where he is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree. Besides keeping busy with work and school, Kevin enjoys learning, spending time with friends, and seeing people experience the greatness and grace of God and grow to love and live for Him

Laeya Kaufman | College Intern

Laeya graduated from UC Davis last year with a double major in Psychology and Religious Studies. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree at Western Seminary. She is passionate about serving the Lord according to the words written in Philippians 1:21 “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” She has a huge passion for prayer, Africa (ask her about Kenya!), social justice and living as an ordinary radical for Christ. She is excited to invest in college students so that they will grow in the knowledge of how holy and amazing the Lord is!

J.J. Ziser | Youth Intern

Like most people who grow up in Davis, JJ was born. After he graduated from Davis High School he attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. In June of 2007 he received a BS in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration. JJ is a postmodern, post colonial, skeptical-yet-hopeful, cynical-yet-optimistic, Methodist-yet-Calvinist, imperfectly holy-and-wholly imperfect walking contradiction. JJ and his wife Tessa have moved back to Davis to answer the call that God has put on their lives. Tessa has taken a job teaching first grade in Woodland and JJ is humbled and excited to continue pursuing a career in full-time ministry. They are very excited to be able to serve the youth of this community.
